Udon Tug of War is a 18×24 acrylic painting by Nyla Washington . The painting depicts
two of Nyla’s closest friends (Maya Kook and Avery Greenburg) attempting to eat the same udon
noodle out of mid air. This moment was originally captured in a photo that Nyla took, but she
liked it so much that she decided to paint this scene during an art intensive at Otis College of art
and Design. Nyla revealed that this painting is one of her favorites because it encapsulates so
much of the fun and mischief that occurs when with close friends.
